Remember at one time Russia was a huge grain importer and their farms were extremely underproducing and uncompetitive because of communism. That’s a lesson for any country - if you implement regressive policies that discourage risk and efficiency and instead reward inefficiency you end up with major problems.
Average size farm in nd is 1800 acres now. That would be “BTO” status for most of history now it is simply average due to advancements, which would not have happened with policies that discourage risk and innovation or efficiency. | |
