It’s a real easy job auger doesn’t have to come apart. I use a high sided wagon or truck and lay boards across top with couple sheets of plywood for a platform to stand on. Take the end cap off to thin the first section of tube just slide it off the auger lay it on your platform then the next section auger will drop down some you can remove the end section if it will come apart just held in place with a 6” piece of hex shaft mark so you put it back in time. Remove the next section and check the inside of the elbow very closely the rivets like to wear out check the gearbox it usually never gives any trouble thin read reassemble. Forgot mention swing the auger out just a little so you can stand on both sides.
