My estate lawyer will not write a will. He only sets up trusts. According to him wills go before a probate judge and are open to contest. Everything about a will can be thrown in the trash and changed by the judge. A trust bypasses the court and is very hard to change what the executor of the trust wanted.

Yup. Had some eye opening observances/experiences after a close relative passed away. His best friend was the executor for the will. My relative would’ve been quite disappointed if he knew how his last wishes were not carried out as he wanted.
