There is currently no charging infrastructure for electric semis. At the present, they are limited to terminals with the proper chargers. Musk is working on a network for semis but he has just started. It took Tesla 11 years to install their 50 thousandth charger for cars but the network he started is what makes an electric car practical for many today.
As semi production ramps up ant the charging network grows, the need for wreckers to tow electric semis will greatly decrease.
