The OP laid out the details well. All one had to do was read. It was obvious he didn't construct the post in seconds. I personally feel the superintendent may have been out of line & might call the OP to apologize & try to get a better understanding of what to do in 2024....assuming the super is still there, which would be unusual these days. The suggestion of renting the ground to the school district is a good one. It should also entail covering the OP's rented property with the school district's liability insurance, as another poster points out.
I'm betting that making the rental offer will kill the entire matter. Again, most readers caught on to the fact that none of this ground adjoins existing school ground. I also assume the OP already pays taxes on this ground to the school district, so there is already donation of sorts. |
