I think it would be great if it could be used on soybeans, and plant the soybeans at the same time as wheat. Then have the soybeans emerge a couple of weeks before the wheat is ready to harvest. This would make it so the soybeans most years would be short enough that they would not get cut off when harvesting wheat and would be somewhat tolerant to being run over by the combine.  Would want the coating to dissolve at around 75 degrees.
