Any idea when it was built? If your grandfather was shoring it up in the 60's it might be time to throw in the towel and not invest anymore $$ ?
1950. We have thought about brining it down and not fixing. Years ago they put corn up so wet that it juiced alot. I am guessing he poured the outside curb to stop corrosion issues where it meets the ground. Alot of silos have curbs around them at the base for issues such as this.
