SW OH
We got a new 988K at work this year that is badged as a hybrid. I haven't seen it yet and know very little about it. We have 5 Deere 944K loaders that have a 13.5L running a generator and hydraulic pumps. All 4 wheels are powered by electric motors. Same size loader as a 988K. The Deeres use about 70% of the fuel the older, full mechanical 988Ks.

We have a Deere 644KH loader that is 9 years old. The generator is powered by braking. The electricity charges up capacitors that give off heat. The energy is not reused. It's badged as a hybrid.

We also have a D7E badged a's a hybrid. We've had it for 13 years. I still haven't figured out what the generator powers. It's hydrostatic drive and pumps are engine driven.
