Film coated? That's new to me. Which rootworm insecticides are available that way? Need to be custom treated?

You can get almost anything filmcoated. That is how a low of our sweet corn and other veggies come treated. Cruiser is what is used “here”. Sort of depends on what specific insects you need to control.

Filmcoating is considered a premium treatment option so lots of places may not offer it. We get our seed from Seedway, Harris, Ball/PanAm, Rupp, Keithly Williams and others. Sometimes you have to ask for filmcoat treatment. Keithly Williams will send anything out for treatment for a free. I think Rupp can do this in-house.

Dad has received filmcoat treated soybeans before as well. Not sure if the breeder or the distributor did the treatment. Ask your dealer. They may ask you what you want in the slurry. Can put almost anything as long as it’s labeled and can be mixed.
