NW IL | Compared to NW IL, recent land auction got a no-sale. 300 acres? 4 parcels. Couldn't get a bid over $9000, some parcels couldn't get a bid at all. Very good dirt. All the "big names" in the neighborhood in attendance.
But the auction was set up kind of weird, not the best advertising. Did the first round of bidding, didn't get much action. Called a recess, came back and the family said, "we don't need to sell, feel free to call if you are interested."
This is in the land of 250+ corn. | |
