What is the dockage for wet beans?

It easy to leave a lot of money in field if conditions change too fast and they are too dry.

I typically like to put some 14-15% Ben’s in the bin, and haul some 13% beans to market, and then put some 10-12% beans in the bin to equalize out. This typically works well but it’s not uncommon to get a stretch of dry air and the next thing you know the beans 8-9% and don’t pick up moisture overnight.

I delivered two loads today that were 13.9% and 13.7%… I guess I will see how bad the dock is!

This is exactly what we do if possible. We are lucky enough to have a dedicated bin site with a leg just for soybeans.
We test every single load and play “musical bins” depending on what moisture each load is.
