| Years ago we gunited one silo and it worked as long as we needed it. We quit filling silos around 14 years ago, when the cattle went and would never fill another. I really liked the feed out of them, because it stayed great like the stuff I put in them.
Had a silo like that and we tore it down and put a new one, as it was way worst than the one we fixed. I still think that the acid is in the old staves and when you gunite it, all it does is put another shell around it. The one we gunited , the layer up near the top would just keep crumbling off. | |
