Subject: RE: Pivot Drops in Tall Corn?

Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA

11th commandment:
Thou shalt not use wide spaced drops in tall corn.

If we have corn under drops, we tie them up when the corn gets to their height, at least on the inside towers where there isn’t a sprinkler in every port on the pipe.

Since 2010 I’ve only been putting overhead sprinklers on our pivots. They have a better water pattern, don’t come unclamped or burst hoses, and are cheaper.
