EC SoDak | Maybe, now that so many LL went to cash rent, it would take one heck of a collapse to get them back to crop share. IMHO, you’d see well established farms grow exponentially at light speed pace and multiple generations go away if crop insurance subsidies were pulled. Essentially, it’s be the opposite of what some folks are saying. Cash is king and generally, it’s the older generation that has the most and those that need credit would be begging banks for access when banks have less of a guarantee. Kind of like how getting credit worked the last recession…. | |
