Western Oregon | I wore trifocals for 10 years. Had to have cataract surgery, I had the crystal type. Got eyes corrected. Fitted with 3 times in 3 months, tried for a year. Finally threw them away and went with readers. Doc says my eyes never worked together but brain adapted. Corrective messed that all up. I can see excellent except very small print. Wife is amazed at what I can see. I was born left handed, left eye dominate, surgery changed that because of the loss of use to my left hand. Changed to right hand, right eye to shoot. I had surgery at 58, 67 now. Have had eyes checked, I don't need glasses now. I was never able to read for more than 5 mins. Still can't but I don't need glasses to read normal print. I have never been able to wear sunglasses. The 10 years I wore glasses was for eye strain, miserable from computer to regular reading at work. I tried readers but it made me dizzy and nauseous so wore full time. Hated them, eye strain was different than the squint without, trying to read....James | |
