So I was suggested to linear actuators only not sure if it would fit. This one has the motor perpendicular the shaft with a bevel gear on top to drive the screw. My uncle has taken it apart and the screw is still good, but the motor is shot. I'm going to measure the stroke and look at the space to see if a linear actuator would work. Thanks for the help.
