SE NC | Assuming this is Sorghum Sudangrass and it sounds like no nitrogen was applied nitrates shouldn’t be a concern although as others have said it’s a cheap peace of mind. Prussic Acid would be the concern in my book however as I understand from my livestock extension agent the problem is not when it’s under stress. The problem begins when it comes out of stress and the new growth is rich in prussic acid.
