I fail to see how this is any different than government emissions mandates that the auto and machinery industries have been dealing with for decades. Every new mandate has resulted in problems with the engines and related emissions related equipment until the bugs are worked out. I think we can probably agree that it has been a positive trend with cleaner exhaust that never would have happened had companies not been forced into it.

WestMIguy - When the free market develops a better alternative to ICE automobiles consumers will naturally make the change themselves.


Again, talking Tesla here because most of the rest are junk at this point, but one is dang hard pressed to find an unhappy Tesla owner. Most will tell you that once you have driven a Tesla, there simply is no other car.


Wonder how many of them drove crappy FWD toasters on wheels before a Tesla? Not hard to be impressed by acceleration when one is use to driving a four cylinder Nissan CVT.
