Talked to my brother in St. Louis today. He said he was doing some work by some main rail yard, and people in the area commented how dead the rail yard has been lately. He said he was in the area all day and hardly saw any trucks hauling out of rail yard.
Buddy works for the railroad as an engineer. He's paid M-F regardless. He's only been working Fridays since late July. They have been running cars with corn and soybean to the PNW and Texas more than usual as manufacturing is down hard. He said b they have never railed so many soybeans out of Nebraska and Iowa to the PNW. |
