I also use the variable angle method.  Don't have to worry about a specific angle to cut.  Can adjust angle to crop conditions on the go as needed.  Relieves the monotony of going im a straight line and keeps me alert to dodge the sink holes, rocks, trees, light poles and othe obstacles in my fields.  :-)
