The car was also a significant improvement over a horse. A car didn’t need to be fed every day. It didn’t get tired. You could ride INSIDE the car in inclement weather. The car didn’t need to be rested each day or require stops for water.
And manure. Manure was a huge problem in many cities. And the disease and pest issues that go along with it.
