| At the end of July they looked great. They still looked great in the field, except for 4 weeks of hot dry weather after that. 95% of the pods were flat.
Yes we have insurance, but because of the highly variable nature of our yields, which can be anywhere from 0 to 70, the APH's are only so-so. This area was almost exclusively wheat until 25 or so years ago, then wheat-milo, and only relatively recently have beans been regularly added.
