NW Indiana | Actually the market tends to ration in the front end vs the back. 2022 May high was about rationing the crop that was being planted. 2012 August high was about rationing the crop about to be harvested. The market rarely tries to ration the supply the last 60-90 of the crop year. Basis does the job of moving those bushels to where they are needed the last 60-90 days but more often than not the market has done the job of actually rationing long before. | |
