West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12 | The electricity to dry my corn will be generated by me using diesel fuel again this year. Cost should be 2 to 4 pennies per bushel...I hate to add to that coal ash pile in my neighbors backyard and pollute their drinking water.
edit to add...Maybe if a solar outfit approaches me to put in 80 acres of solar panels, the grid running past my driveway will finally be upgraded to three phase so I can afford to have three electric wires ran up my driveway to the dryer.
