We have been on the dry side for the last 2 years. During May and early June of 2022 we had 2 separate multiday rain events that caused 2 small river floods. Other than those two rain events for have not had any other rain that would generate groundwater recharge. Last year at this time we were in D4, currently in D3 now.  We have had 14" or rain this year. I would guess that 90% of the water flowing in the river now is from discharge from the lake and wastewater treatment plants. The river is way lower than it was last year.
