Subject: RE: NH 1890 Crop Cruiser

West central Indiana, Linden
Hay plant we grew alfalfa for chopped with an 1895 model. Ran it early 80's to about 2000. I want to say it had a Cat 3306 in it that had in the neighborhood of 240 HP, I thought it was a beast for the time. We chopped into 26' freight pup trailers that were modified to accept the chopped hay, then pulled them with a late 60's White "Road Commander"single axle semi with about a 190 Cummims in it. When changing trailers, chopper driver would circle around the truck to hook empty trailer. Exhaust on chopper was exact height of truck window,so, chopper guy would goose throttle as he passed by filling truck cab with smoke laughing his a** off !!!!! Those were good times !
