I have the same deal. If I close things up so cats can't get in, mice go wild. I have had coon poop 50 feet up on my grain elevator tower. The ladder is barely adequate for me to get up there, Dog proof coon traps work, kinda. But there is putting marshmallows in it every day without getting finger cut off.
