SC Kansas | Agree as above. I plant all my wheat with either a Great Plains solid stand twin disc on conventional till or a crustbuster all-plant on 10” spacing but I hire most of my corn ground air seeded. This year with the drought several of the fields have had the corn residue round baled so there is minimal residue and it looks about right in terms of residue. The corn residue was raked before baling. It was hard on an average rake but my neighbor had a heavy duty rake and was happy for the bales. It won’t be a big payday but the residue is managed and I’ll get some revenue.
