He is probably talking about zinc. As far as I know it’s not in any of the oils anymore unless you buy some super expensive racing type oil.




This is flat out wrong. Diesel oils have zinc. The 15w50 Mobil 1 I use in my tow vehicle has 1200 ppm. There are plenty of commonly available motor oils out there with zinc in them. Diesel oils mostly, gasoline oils not so much.
