Floyd County, Iowa | I left the gearbox in mine, but took out the transfer tube and upright. I have the Shivvers 90 degree sweep for mine, and that runs off the center gearbox. I do take the tapered sweep off and stand it up against the wall by the door until the sweep gets to that point, then put the tapered sweep on to help speed it up. I use the vertical truck auger, that's why I left it intact.
I quit using the Shivvers drying system and switched to a small continuous flow about 20 years ago. Would never go back to Shivvers. | |
