Southeast WI | I've had a few relatives/friends do similar trips and they sound just like you!
Hunting aside, it's really your message that's important. Most people are "waiting" for the right time to do XYZ. For most that never comes and they never get off the dime to actually make it happen. 5 years is a long time to plan and wait and it's great you made that a reality. We work like crazy year round here but are always planning our next trip somewhere 2 mo, 6 mos, a year out. If you don't have something rewarding to look forward to what's the point of life?
