Paystar500 - 9/23/2023 21:30 person stay at our motel that expected me to fill their car with gas - yet several EV people have gotten mad when I told them they can't plug their car in for free.
Guy today - told him he could plug in at an RV site for $45 a night - instead he drove 75 miles one way to the nearest charging station, not sure what his time is worth but 150 mile round trip and about 4 hours time. Not my problem. Asking to get it free of charge is pretty crazy I'd say. That being said, if I owned a motel and I had some extra juice (which you almost certainly would at night) I'd be for installing one or two level two chargers and charging enough to make it so that I'd get them paid for in 3 to 5 years. I really think over the next 5 years you'd attract a fair number of customers that would not be there any other way. I think from 2028 and on you'll be falling behind your competitors if you don't offer it. |
