I have a 4230,4650,and a 4755 all get jd plus 50 ll 15w-40 I change the oil every 100 hrs. Put 15-40 in all my diesel’s and haven’t had any real problems. I would say changing oil on a regular basis is more important than the brand of oil used just use an oil that meets the specifications for that tractor jd plus 50ll should do that.
