| s previous posted, spoiled grain is your culprit. Why or how is another question. Several years ago I had a bin that grain would stick on the north side. Same brand bin next o it, same size never did it. I pressure washed the bin, then took a steel wire wheel on a grinder to it. Local commercial paint store recomended a 2 part epoxy paint which I sprayed the inside of the bin with. Have not had an issuer since the, at least 15 years.
Had a bean bin this year that beans stuck on the west side, about a foot wide strip around about 1/4 of the bin. I'm kind of thinking we got a wet load of beans in the bin or one with a lot of green pods. Wire brushed the bad spot & sprayed it with a couple cans of Rustoleum "Rust Stop" primer. We'll know next summer how it works out. | |
