Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning. | If you do happen to have an electric clothes dryer in your home, it's highly doubtful that you use it all night long. A $200 UL Rated splitter box just plugs in and lets you charge your car when the clothes dryer isn't being used. Run a #10 extension cord from the dryer location to your car or if I was doing it, I'd use #8 CU for the cord. My car charges perfectly fine with a 22 Amp rate but a dryer circuit is rated for 30A if necessary. No electrician necessary. In my AZ home, I used the 50 Amp RV circuit to feed a sub-panel box and since I don't use all three of the circuits in that box at the same time, it works. |
