I do an 80 of corn for a neighbor irrigated hauled to elevator. $55 last yr. Pry be that or $57 this yr. Should be $60+ but I rent ground from him also.
This is why there's so much variability in answers in the surveys. Guys doing what you do answer the questions as well as a few who try to avoid custom work by pricing on the high side instead of saying no.
With the survey results, the median isn't a bad figure to use if there's a large number of answers. Also need to keep in mind that they lag a year or two behind so adjust up if cost of operation has increased in that time. |
