My house is 24 years old.  One 200 amp panel.  Every breaker spot is full.  I would have to lay a new line from the transformer box that is about 100 ft from the house to wire a new panel for an EV car, I think.  Will not be cheap to do so.  I bet 99% of the homes today you will not be able to just add a 50 amp outlet for an EV.  

We have 3 electricians to service our county.  They need to do everything, schools, business, pivots, houses.  They are now super busy.  I can't imagine they have time to rewire 99% of all homes and business for EV hook ups.  It would take years and years to get it done.
