Not sure where you are, but there used to be places for people to plug in block heaters in colder regions. I would bet they would pull more than a charger.

I bet they don't.
Duramax block heater is 1000 watt, which is 8.3 amps.
Standard 120V EV charger is 20amps,
Guy I know with a Tesla says it has a low draw setting, which is still 12A, almost 50% more than the block heater on a diesel Duramax.
The block heater on my wife's Jeep is 500Watt, wich is just over 4 amps.
There are also other considerations: How many 20A, or even 12A can you expect the wiring of a motel to be able to handle at one time? Where do they plug in at? How much extension cord might they need, and who provides it?
