Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning.

Battery costs are declining rapidly. Most EV makers are reducing prices of their vehicles with the reason given being lower battery costs and increased supply. Similar story for home based and grid-scale battery backup. In the last year, there has been a stampede of foreign companies moving battery production sites to the US, in order to take advantage of the IRA.
Tesla V3 superchargers cost $30K to $40K per pedestal. A four pack would be in the vicinity of $150K.
In cold weather, using 120V to charge a Tesla is almost a losing proposition and can take a very long time. If the temps are moderate a 20 Amp 120V charger will put out 2.4 KWH, at best. 100 KWH pack will take 40 hours. Figure 6 to 7 miles of driving for every charging hour. A decent welder outlet rated at 50 Amps will perform about like you have quoted.
If we converted all ICE vehicles to EVs today, we would have big trouble with the grid. No reasonable person thinks that is remotely possible because there is not enough manufacturing capacity to make it happen, even by 2030. It will take time and the utility companies have people planning for the eventuality. In the meantime, renewables and storage continue to fall in price rather dramatically so that added generation will be a huge factor going forward.
