Delaware | We priced a versa loop (I guess that’s called a double run with other manufacturers), and the overhead price was cheaper. It actually was just as cheap compared to the drag conveyor per foot when I compared it to the drag we had to install when we built our new tank. (New tank blocked access to the middle of three hopper tanks we previously just put our portable auger under, so we had to put in a long drag under those three).
I’m assuming it’s because the versa loop just uses pipe to run, while the drag has the AR steel or whatever lasts so long that the grain slides on. | |
