Subject: Shivvers unload/gearbox/sweeps conversion to “normal bin”?

20 Miles West of Indianapolis Indiana
I have a shivvers drying bin that the shivvers transfer and circulation components are about shot. I’m wanting to take it out and turn it into a normal bin to store dry corn. (You need to take out the upright auger to fill the bin all the way).

How have some handled the gearbox/auger removal/tapered sweeps?

Is it as simple as removing the upright auger and rolling on? Or will my tapered sweeps get pinned down every year and eventually blow the gearbox trying to get them going?
