| Intersting comments again. Noone is forcing anyone to enter into a DP contract. Only way to avoid paying these charges is to build storage for your crop. Elevators in some regions may not be charging enough. Offering DP in a carry market at harvest does not work out well for any elevator that ships that DP grain. They are at risk if basis firms post harvest. along with the board carry eating up margin if the producer prices the shot agains teh deferred futures contrat. | |
