There is no free lunch with corn stoves.
Sold them for over 10 years. Listened to all
the pro and cons from customers.
Corn price verses LP price is the thing to watch.
We still run ours on pellets because the wife and I
like the radiant heat and looks.
Yes it gets cleaned once / week.
Running straight clean corn will still give you clinkers!!!
Some how, some way they will need to be cleaned from the
fire pot / stirrer. Oyster shells help as with mixing wood
pellets.
When I could pick and choose my corn it worked pretty good.
Not so much any more, the reason we switched to pellets.
