Both of my AC chargers are plugged into welder outlets in my garages. Both are on 50 Amp breakers and use much better outlets than the $15 variety sold at HD or Lowes. Still, I like to charge at about a 22 Amp rate so that's how I set the car. Now the DC fast chargers are a whole nother deal. They eat juice in huge gulps. 1000 KVA or roughly 1,000,000 watts in terms we are familiar with Meter has a 80X multiplier so when it reads 100 KWH, you will be paying for 8,000 Kwh. Glad I'm not paying the demand charge for that install!
