I’ve had an Amaizablaze for 15 years and I love it. However, it definitely has drawbacks and I wouldn’t rely on it for a sole source of heat in a home. As other have said, the corn needs to be free of bees wings and pieces of stalk. 15% or less moisture is preferable. I have 3 programmable thermostats in my house that run my LP furnace. This is because otherwise the room that the corn stove is in will be roasting hot and the distance rooms will be cold. I go through approximately two 5 gallon buckets per day and take out the clinker once per day. It might run for 2 weeks before I have to shut it down and sweep it out. I love to sit in front of it on cold winter mornings drinking coffee and reading NewAgTalk.
