SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass!

John e.c.MI - 9/23/2023 14:31 Think of it in terms of volume. 1000 bushels of 59 pound test weight corn won’t take as much room in a truck has 1000 bushels of 54 pound test weight corn. The heavy corn is more dense therefore you need less volume to get the same weight.

You are right.

A bushel is a measure of volume,1,244 cubic feet. It is archaic, from a time when few had scales. The higher the test weight the more  pounds you can pack in a bushel area.
