For soybeans used to be if moisture was below 14% they we had an adjustment factor like 13% soys would be 1.01 and got paid for lost dry wt. Now we are 13% and no bonus for dryer beans but a discount factor if over 13%
Corn is most brutal , if you deliver like 16% corn you automatically get a "drying" base charge of like 15cents bu. to start
