I just ran a inflation calculation.
In 2000 I helped install granite and marble countertops after school and on the weekends. I made $10/hr doing that. in today's money you'd need $18.19 to have the same buying power. Granted I didn't get benefits but $17/hr isn't a very good wage anymore.
