| I do exactly what you’re asking. Did not get a good fall stand last year but it came up strong in the spring. A lot of it depends on weather and rain fall. If you get it spread early, the a decent rain, then it is better. One year I lightly worked it, already it, then lightly worked again and had a great stand. Obviously a drill is better but takes more time and a lot of money to buy one. I plan on doing it every year I am able. Just with the fall growth was better.
We use a small old seeded mounted on the gator hitch so I can let the kids do it without much monitoring.
