On that note, when there is blood on the streets again which way do you think it would go? When people are in dire straights would the majority want more money to be able to cope and fend for themselves or will they instead prefer a “benefit” package to supply them with their needs?
If I was to answer that question I think many people would want the proverbial easy button and would choose the benefit package option. I believe that as we slide ever further down this path the number of people who would choose it will only increase because we have slowly made benefit packages a very important part of supplying the requirements of our daily lives. I would say that society is marching towards the point that next time there is major blood on the streets it could quickly bring us sliding down to the bottom of that slope where the general public will choose a government supplied “benefit” package for our necessities of survival.
What are your thoughts?
If it gets that bad the government will be in no shape to bail anyone out it will be people relying on family and neighbors like they did 100+ years ago. It will be back to the basic necessities of life and true reliance that our Creator will provide daily and grow our lacking relationship in this country. As scared as this thought makes most of us maybe it really would be for the best. |
